MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

On Sunday i will be posting a present haul but I just wanted to tell you guys one thing that I got for Christmas... a sewing machine. If you remember a few weeks back I said that if I got a sewing machine for Christmas I would make a second crafting blog. Well I have started it and it will be "properly published on Sunday!

In the next school year I have to get a new laptop so the one I am using now has to get thrown out. I decided that I would get started on clearing out all the crap that I have stored on it and I found some pretty cool photos that I have taken over the past year and a half. Sorry about some of the horrible quality photos, they are mainly there because of the subject.

Also, about a year back, I did some art work that I am still very proud of, the photo’s are from DOLLY magazine but the smaller drawings are done by me.

Scrapbook

First things first, I am very very sorry that I haven’t posted for, over a month, but I P R O M I S E that I will post every Sunday (unless I get grounded) from here on in.

Milk tea and 41 degree heat

Hello, here in Australia it is 41 degrees Celsius, (that's really hot, if you didn't know.) So today I went to the "happy bowl" with some friends for lunch, the happy bowl is a really nice Vietnamese place that does really amazing chicken noodle soups and spring rolls. I ordered some "DIY" satay beef rice paper rolls and a strawberry flavored bubble tea.

I am nearly up to date on the walking dead. The walking dead is really amazing at the moment (I am up to season 5 episode 1.)

Recently I discovered a new band called San Cisco, I know they aren't new but I have only just properly discovered. My favorite of theirs is "Fred Astair" if you haven't heard it, go on youtube, now, and listen to it.

Storms

Hey there, sorry I didn't post last week I just didn't get around to it. I am doing pretty good, it is storming where I live and it is pretty awesome. The thunder is so big, my two-story house is shaking. 

It is getting so close to the end of the year which is pretty exciting, the only downside is exams. I have so much to do! I am only in year eight so I am pretty scared for year twelve when I get 1,000,000 word essays to write, I am struggling with 300-400!

Anyway, hope you guys have a wonderful rest-of-the-week and I will talk to you all again on Sunday!

Christmas

Hey guys! I am getting overly excited for Christmas, I cannot stop talking about the presents I may get (I know we are only in late October but there are Christmas decorations at Big-W so... yeah). I am hoping to get a sewing machine, the one I have my eye on is "sy" from IKEA, I don't know why, I just like it.

What do you guys want for Christmas?

Also, if I do get a sewing machine for Christmas, (which I think is likely because I have sent Santa a lot of letters hinting that I want one) I will be starting a second crafting blog! On there I will give you guys tutorials and inspiration pictures!

My room

Hey guys! Yesterday I spent my day cleaning and rearranging my bedroom so what did I do? I filmed it of course! Well sort of, I filmed a before and after "overview" thing and then some of my stuff so it is kind of a before and after/tour/cleaning video. I was getting so frustrated while I was editing the video because the program I was using kept crashing and deleting all of my work! ugh! Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Cats

Hello! Today I thought that I would give my cat some lovin' on my blog so if you love pictures of fuzzy black cats then you should probably keep reading.

This is my cat , Henry, when I first got him.

I am not entirely sure what breed he is because I got him from a friend for free! Originally Mum said no we wouldn't get one of their cats because we wouldn't be able to afford it. But, it was my birthday in two months and I had always been talking about getting a cat because I love them so much and wouldn't any 12 year old want one?

Anyway, mum and my sister went down the road to the shops one day to get milk and they came home with a cat. Really mum? It was for me so I immediately named him Henry with no hesitation what so ever.

Brisbane and what not

Here in Brisbane there are usually a bunch of really cool festivals going on in the city which mainly consist of super cute markets, giant pink bunnies, yummy food and lovely twinkling lights. I thought that for this beautiful Saturday morning I would share some of my pictures of these festivals.

On the school holidays I bought my very first issue of Frankie magazine, I love how simple it is and that it isn't printed on gloss paper, I don't know what it is about plain, matte paper but I think it looks so much more elegant than gloss. Anyway, I think that the content is all round amazing and very informative as appose to Taylor Swift breaking up with her boyfriend.

My holidays

Hi! I am Ruby Ford and this is my very first post on my blog. Today is the last day of school holidays here in Australia so I thought that I would share with you some of the things that I did over the last two weeks.

Swell festival.

On the first Sunday of my holidays I went to the Swell festival. The swell festival is basically a bunch of really awesome sculptures along the Pacific Parade beach at Curumbin. The festival is held once every year, click here for more information.

My personal favorite is the yarn bombed tree.

Toowoomba

In the second half of the holidays me and my Dad stayed in Toowoomba for three days. it was extremely beautiful, I loved going to all of the small, local shops, my favorite was "Crazy goat" It is a lovely coffee shop owned by a lovely lady that is very chatty and makes pretty damn awesome coffees.

We saw some of the gardens which were spectacular to say the least.
